Snowman spinner card for Stampin' Dreams

Thank you for having a look at today's creation!  Today’s card is inspired by the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop Theme : Something different.
What does that mean? That means it could be a 3D project, a special fold or anything we want today. I've decided to bring you a spinning card (I'm not sure if that's the proper name for it)

My class ladies are really keen to try one so I wanted to have a play and see what we could do.
How cute are these little tags from the Seasonal Chums stampin' up! Stamp set? Absolutely gorgeous and glued together like this they make the perfect little spinners for our cards.

For the little Frosty I've used the softly falling embossing folder and for the little deer I used the Woodlands embossing folder so fast and easy but also super cute these for Christmas cards.

I coloured my snowman using my marker Markers and  for the little deer I used blender pens, both are quite effective don't you agree?

That's all from me, make sure you hop around and see all the other great creations!

Thoughts and Prayers for Nathan

Hi!   It is with great sadness that I bring today's post to you, this card was made for a very good friend of mine, Ellen, for the most tragic of reasons, Ellen's son Nathan passed very suddenly on the 31st of August and his funeral will be held this Friday. While this card is in no way technical it was the hardest card I have ever made and it taught me to keep some sympathy cards in my stash, although I in no way regret making a special card to say goodbye to a special boy.

Ellen & Nathan

Unfortunately, as you can see a little of my glue seeped from under my bottom layer to under my vellum and I couldn't think of anyway to fix it (now I'm sitting here typing this it I'm thinking I might be able to run another lot of washi around)

Click here to visit the International Blog Highlights for more sympathy themed cards, these are always the hardest ones to get inspiration for.

Merry Patterns Host Set by Stampin' Up!

How exciting is this new exclusive limited edition stamp set from Stampin' Up!
 Why you won't see me using it . . . .
You won't see me using this stamp set because as a demonstrator I only purchase and use those sets which I can sell, this stamp set being only available for two months and only available to those who have a $450 order is not one that I would keep long term (although I'm sure it would make some great Chrissy cards!) so I have decided I would much rather give any sets earned away to you my customers! I have already had one person earn this set and another one is close to earning it!
If you think that you and your friends order enough to earn it  . . .
I can open a host code your own online party so you can each place your own orders, It only takes 10 people to order $45 each and your there plus you will earn the regular host dollars to spend on whatever you would like! (If you are all going to order together in one order you don't need the host code)
Don't think you can have enough people  . . . .  . to host your own workshop that's fine, just use the host code found my blog between now and the end of October and you will go in the draw to win any sets that are earned plus you will still qualify for this months host reward gifts!
What happens if II forget to add the host code?
If you forget to add the host code simply contact me (or Stampin' Up!) within 24 hours of placing your order and I'll have the host code added for you (This applies any time that you are ordering online and forget to order the host code don't miss out on those goodies that you get at the end of the month just simply send me that email through and I'll get it fixed for you).
Make sure you check the current host because it may change throughout the month as I want as many of you as possible to get this free set!
How will the winners be drawn?
I will do a live drawing on my Facebook page at the beginning of November to choose all the lucky winners!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Stesha Bloodhart

Welcome to another blog hop with the Crazy Crafters!  Today our very special Guest is Stesha Bloodhart!  And the theme of course is CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) a project from Stesha's Blog https://stampinhoot.com
Let me tell you I had a pretty long short list of cards I had selected, in fact I very nearly ran out of time to actually create anything!  But I did manage to get something up, (in fact I went a little bit bonkers, but what do you expect from a Crazy Crafter?)
Here is the gorgeous card that Stesha made, isn't it lovely?

And here are all my creations

This was my first time using this bundle so I just had to play and try everything! I loved Stesha's use of the embossing folder coloured in for a background and so I tried 3 different ones - the first one which is the card most like Stesha's (although mine is "missing something") uses the Pinewood Planks embossing folder

This second card uses the Petal burst textured embossing folder for both these first two cards I used Stampin' Sponges to gently blend the ink over the background.

This last card (which I have to wait until May to give to hubby!) uses two textured embossing folders, I embossed first with the garden trellis embossing folder and then with the layered leaves dynamic embossing folder, then I used a dauber to add some smoky slate to the background to pick up the hint of trellis, I then used my aqua painters to add old olive and garden green to the leaves.

And finally I couldn't help but do a few book marks, after all what's more fun than a bit of water colour splash and a short life quote?

That's all from me today!  I can't wait to see what all the other Crazy Crafters and of course Stesha herself have for us, here's the lineup so you don't miss any!
